Hi!
I am interested in getting a single-line tattoo on my leg. Something like the cat here: https://img1.rapidleaks.com/2019/05/best-single-line-tattoos-1280×720.jpg
So my question is:
Do you guys specialize in these kind of tattoos?
And how much does it cost to get a tattoo like that?
Size – 3×3 inches
Is it possible to get colors in the tattoo, like in the example?
Happy to hear back from you guys,
Drew
I also have some other questions, so feel free to answer those:
1. What ingredients in the ink you’d use for the colors in the tattoo?
2. Does color ink causes an itchy rash? I have kinda sensitive skin.
3. Can you perform a patch test?
4. Are you a licensed tattoo artist?
5. In case you did some single-line tattoos, can you share some examples?
Thanks!

Email Response
Drew,
Thanks for the email. All six of our artists are highly experienced. Ranging from 3-12 years of tattooing, and they all endured apprenticeships at various shops within the Salt Lake Valley before becoming qualified tattooists. Several of them have done single line tattoos like you have attached, and they all have done watercolor. The prices vary by artist, size, detail and body placement. For smaller designs that can be completed in an hour you can plan on something in the $150-200 range depending on the factors above.
Each of our artists manage and maintain their own schedules. We recommend you look at their online portfolio via Instagram. Each artist is listed in the shop IG bio @remedy.tattoo.parlor or on our website www.remedytattooparlor.com. Once you have reviewed their work feel free to contact that artist directly for booking.
As far as your additional questions, we offer the following information:
The majority of their inks are purchased through a local distributor for licensed professionals only. The brands vary by artist and pigment. Some of the brand names are Fusion, Eternal Ink, Intenze, World Famous, Dynamic. Each pigment can have varying ingredients and details can be found on each of the brands websites, as well as on the product label. Once you decide on an artist you will want to inform them about your sensitivity, and the two of you can come up with a plan to figure out which pigments would be best. You may also ask for an in person consultation at which time you can look at what inks they are using.
You should know in advance the the process of tattooing is to inject ink into the dermis layer of the skin by puncturing the skin with hundreds of prics, so the skin IS going to get irritated in the process. However, as long as you follow the after care instructions, 99% of people heal with no problem, but on rare occasions, a rash can occur. If that happens let your artist know and they can recommend options for you, or they may recommend you to consult a physician but that would be a rare and extreme circumstance.
Yes all of our artist and shop are inspected yearly and have passed a health and safety inspection by the Salt Lake County Health Department, and our certificate is on the wall at the front desk. The health department certification is required by Murray city to have and maintain our business license, which is also current and on our wall.
I hope you will find all of this information helpful in making your decision.
