Alabama
The state of Alabama has been the location of several significant events throughout America’s history, such as the official formation of the Confederacy in 1861 and Rosa Parks’ bus boycott in 1955. It’s also where numerous famous Americans have been born, including George Washington Carver, Hank Aaron, Nat King Cole, Helen Keller, and Harper Lee.
Initially explored by the Spanish in the 16th century, Alabama was then ruled over by the French then the British. It was eventually surrendered to the United States after the American Revolution. Alabama’s economy relies heavily on manufacturing paper, chemicals, and rubber and the agriculture of soybeans, milk, and corn. Thanks to its cheap land and low labor costs, a prospective small business owner can inexpensively start an enterprise in the state.
