Hi!
I am interested in getting a single-line tattoo on my leg. Something like the cat here: https://www.xotly.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Single-Line-Tattoo.jpg
So my question is:
Do you guys specialize in these kind of tattoos?
And how much does it cost to get a tattoo like that?
Size – 3×3 inches
Is it possible to get colors in the tattoo, like in the example?
Happy to hear back from you guys,
Drew
I also have some other questions, so feel free to answer those:
1. What ingredients in the ink you’d use for the colors in the tattoo?
2. Does color ink causes an itchy rash? I have kinda sensitive skin.
3. Can you perform a patch test?
4. Are you a licensed tattoo artist?
5. In case you did some single-line tattoos, can you share some examples?
Thanks!

Email Response
Hey Drew,
Thanks so much for your request!
To answer your questions:
Specialties:
Each artist at Lost Lakes has an individual body of work, specialties, and interests. This particular style isn’t necessarily anyone’s specialty. I would say Lindsey’s fine line work is most similar to this style (Unfortunately, Lindsey has closed books at the moment and would not be available to take this project on.)
However, I am more than confident that any of our artists could take on this project and do an impeccable job.
Cost:
Shop minimum is $100. Each artists at Lost Lakes charges and individual hourly rate. The price of the tattoo depends on the artist that does it and the time it takes to complete the project.
Hour rates range form 125 – 225.
Color:
it is possible to include color in this tattoo!
Other questions:
1. What ingredients in the ink you’d use for the colors in the tattoo?
This is a great question, each artist uses different inks so again the ingredients will depend on the artist that completes it.
2. Does color ink causes an itchy rash? I have kinda sensitive skin.
Generally no! This is not a common symptom of colored ink or black ink.
3. Can you perform a patch test?
Yes! Happy to! However, we generally don’t think it is necessary unless your doctor suggests/requests that you do.
4. Are you a licensed tattoo artist?
Yes. Everyone here at Lost Lakes is a licensed tattoo artist!
5. In case you did some single-line tattoos, can you share some examples?
Examples of all of our artists work is are available on our instagram @LostLakesTattoo … in our instagram bio you can find the handles of all of the artists and check out their work from there!
I hope that helped clarify your questions! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Email Response
Good morning. Thank you for contacting me about your tattoo plans.
> Do you guys specialize in these kind of tattoos?
I am working on my 34th year of tattooing; this type of watercolor and line work shouldn’t be complicated for most studios. Check portfolios to gauge your confidence level.
>
> And how much does it cost to get a tattoo like that?
> Size – 3×3 inches
Placement can affect price. The torso or tummy could ad as much as 30 to 50% compared to the calf or arm. This said, plan 150 to 225.
>
> Is it possible to get colors in the tattoo, like in the example?
Everyone reflects color differently. This is quit achievable.
>
> 1. What ingredients in the ink you’d use for the colors in the tattoo?
I don’t use ink. My colors are pure organic pigment, with organic surfactants like distilled water, sometimes a trace of glycerin to thicken, or witch hazel to dissolve the powder base.
> 2. Does color ink causes an itchy rash? I have kinda sensitive skin.
I’ve been using this pigment for 32 years and have had nearly zero issues. Of course there’s always the 1 in a 1000 who react to just about anything. You should be as thoughtful about what you used for healing. We can talk about the options during your appointment.
> 3. Can you perform a patch test?
Absolutely yes. It can be done in a few spots just to be sure. It’s good to test behind the ear, and warm places like under the arm or breast. This would be just a surface test. Since all colors are organic and possibly different, I wouldn’t want to do an under the skin test unless you just want to do partial coloring initially
> 4. Are you a licensed tattoo artist?
Yes. I started practicing out of my hair salon doing cosmetic tattooing and 1988.
> 5. In case you did some single-line
> tattoos, can you share some examples?
Please refer to my website www.smoothfx.com. I suggest using the Facebook link on the homepage. There’s probably more current pictures there.
