Hi!
I am interested in getting a single-line tattoo on my leg. Something like the cat here: https://www.xotly.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Single-Line-Tattoo.jpg
So my question is:
Do you guys specialize in these kind of tattoos?
And how much does it cost to get a tattoo like that?
Size – 3×3 inches
Is it possible to get colors in the tattoo, like in the example?
Happy to hear back from you guys,
Drew
I also have some other questions, so feel free to answer those:
1. What ingredients in the ink you’d use for the colors in the tattoo?
2. Does color ink causes an itchy rash? I have kinda sensitive skin.
3. Can you perform a patch test?
4. Are you a licensed tattoo artist?
5. In case you did some single-line tattoos, can you share some examples?
Thanks!

Chris does most of our single line watercolor style tattoos. The price depends but I can tell you the shop minimum starts at $110. Yes, it is possible to get colors. As for your other questions:
1. What ingredients in the ink you’d use for the colors in the tattoo?
Depending on the ink we use will determine the ingredients but here is one of the company’s sheets of the inks we use that will give you much of the
information you are looking for. https://eternaltattooink.com/?act=view&page=MSDS%20Information
2. Does color ink causes an itchy rash? I have kinda sensitive skin.
This can vary person to person. Sometimes people have reactions, sometimes they don’t. There is no set in stone answer. What will affect someone with sensitive skin might not affect someone else with sensitive skin. We
can not give you a definitive answer to this question. However, most tattoos are itchy during the healing process.
3. Can you perform a patch test?
Not really, the ink that goes into your skin is permanent. So if we were to test several colors on your skin you would have that forever. We would also have to charge you a set up fee to do it. If you are really concerned about
how the colors in a tattoo will affect you, I might recommend not doing color.
4. Are you a licensed tattoo artist?
In the state of Ohio, the shop is licensed. We are licensed and inspected normally twice a year.
5. In case you did some single-line tattoos, can you share some examples?
Chris has some examples on his insta you can check out. https://www.instagram.com/creepy_chris_milenkevich/
I hope this answers some of your questions.

Hi Drew,
I wouldn’t necessarily say that we “specialize” in single line tattoos like the one being referenced. However, we’ve got a couple different artists that would be perfectly capable of doing them.
We charge a minimum of $150 and have an hourly rate of $175. Come 2022, that hourly rate goes to $200 (just a heads up)
If you’re looking to have a watercolor tattoo done, I would most likely be the person to help you with that (Jonathan Brookshire). Please feel free to browse my Instagram portfolio for watercolor tattoos. Handle is Darkspectretattoos
I currently use Dynamic tattoo ink. It’s a vegan friendly ink. If you’re interested in specific ingredients, I’d suggest looking up the brands MSDS for the colors you’re curious about.
The only reason you may have a reaction to the ink is if you’re allergic. In which case, the tattoo may completely reject and healing time can be fairly unpleasant. If it’s something you’re concerned about, then yes, we can do a color patch test.
In the state of Ohio, you are not required to carry any licenses to be a tattoo artist. However, we are required to maintain first aid, cpr, and bloodborne pathogens certifications. We are all up to date with that and the location is licensed with the city of Gahanna. We also meet all requirements set forth by fire inspection and state health board.
If you look at the shops website, there will be examples of everybody’s work along with links to their individual online portfolios. Web address is lsbtattoos.com
Hope I’ve answered everything for you.

Hey Drew,
Feel free to stop into the shop anytime M-Sat from 12-8 to speak with an artist. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
However, I will try my best to answer them here.
-artists don’t particularly specialize in lines. It is just a massive part of being a tattooer.
-the cost of the tattoo depends on the tattoo. However our shop minimum is $80 for arms and legs and $100 anywhere else, so it will start there.
-tattoo shops typically tattoo with colors. I’m not familiar with any that don’t.
-you’re more than welcome to come in and read the ingredients in the ink we use, or look up the ingredients for eternal ink, solid ink, dynamic ink. Those are the majority of the brands we use.
-we do not perform patch tests.
-we are licensed by the health department of the state of Ohio.
-many people with sensitive skin get tattoos.
-take a look at our portfolios on the stained skin website you emailed from or the stained skin Instagram which has links to all of our individual instagrams and you can take a look at our work there.
I hope I answered all of your questions.
Please stop into the shop if you have any others.
Thanks!
