I’ll try to answer as many of your questions as I can, Drew. Most of them can be answered by simply going to our website, www.atombombtattoo.com and looking at the portfolios and reading the information page.
Each artist has their own individual specialty. You can tell what an artist does and what they’re good at by looking at their portfolio.
Cost is generally determined by time. Most artists work at an hourly rate, but each artist is going to have their own individual rate, even in the same studio.
The example is an actual tattoo, so obviously yes, you can get color like that in it.
1. The ink ingredients vary by pigment manufacturer. I use Eternal brand pigments, which are presterilized, hypoallergenic and vegan-friendly. Further information, including a data sheet, can be found on their website.
2. I have no idea whether you’d get an itchy rash. I’ve been tattooing for 34 years, and have never known an itchy rash to be caused by tattoo ink. People have gotten rashes after being tattooed, but that’s caused by what they put on their skin while healing, not the ink itself.
3. A “patch test” would really just be a very small tattoo. Yes, that can be done.
4. There are no professional studios that are not licensed. Check our “Information” page for more… information.
